When an Old Friend finds its Home

3/6/18

Two of my older large paintings sold this last week which is always an honor, to have someone purchase my work for their home.  This particular painting "Off the Leash" is an acrylic on canvas, 50x66inches!  It is of the Snohomish river where I walk daily.  The main characters are a version of me, our dog Larry, who was going blind at the time, our younger wild dog Jimmy, and the wonderful creatures we would see along the way.  I have been jotting down all the animals and birds I have seen down by the river, my bend in the river and am amazed at the variety of creatures that live down there.  My walk, the bend in the river, over 36 years.
