Beauty

Homage to a Stone Fish
Isn't it wonderful when something so ugly is actually beautiful...who is this fish anyway?  Why was he/she made this way?  What was the point or does there need to be one?
Stonefish, Synanceia verrucosa...range: Indian and Pacific Ocean: Africa and Red Sea to N. Australia...oooh, they are out there: lurking...As its' name suggests, the stonefish's coloring and shape camouflage it perfectly as it lies half-buried among stones or in rock crevices...I could say something political here but I won't..in honor of my stonefish...by the way, it's glands are equipped with venom that produce the most deadly of all fish venoms...hmmmm
